#Podcast – NTN 52 – Sobre MCTs y AliBaba Cloud con Angel Rayo @oyara y Juan Carlos @jc_quijano

Buy Me A Coffee

Buenas!

Speakers

  • Angel es Technical Lead Expert on Netmind (LinkedIn)
  • Juan Carlos Quijano Abad es Microsoft Certified Trainer, Arquitecto de Soluciones en Azure, Consultor independiente en implantación de DevOps (LinkedIn)
  • Bruno Capuano es Canada Innovation Lead at Avanade and Microsoft AI MVP (LinkedIn)

#Training – Elements of AI, a free #ArtificialIntelligence training from Finland (with also an amazing story)

Buy Me A Coffee

Hi!

Via “The Verge” (see references), I found this amazing story.

Last year, Finland launched a free online crash course in artificial intelligence with the aim of educating its citizens about the new technology. Now, as a Christmas present to the world, the European nation is making the six week program available for anyone to take.

Finland is making its online AI crash course free to the world , The Verge

Please read the article, is an amazing initiative from a country with amazing people. They are also in the process of translate the course to all the supported languages in EU, so this will be great.

And, I decided to give the course a try and this is my thoughts, after completed Chapter 1

There are no videos here, it’s all about reading about Definitions of AI, Applications of AI, introduction to Machine Learning, and other topics.

  • I read this very fast, and boom 1st exercise I got an amazing score.
  • I keep the same pace, and then next exercises make me realize that I need to spend more time here. I won’t complete the full course in 5 minutes, I like a challenge of read, understand and explain.
  • The final test is a written one, where you need to submit your answers and there is a committee analyzing and deciding your result.

So, I’m here waiting for the response and looking forward for next chapter which may involve some Python programming.

And, as a general-purpose course I think is an amazing resource. There are so many AI courses, which most of the time are so focus on the technical part, and is nice to find a different approach to educate about Artificial Intelligence to the general public.

#IoT – #IoTSchool, free #IoT training using Microsoft technologies

API boom

Hi!

A while ago I wrote about the Artificial Intelligence School of Microsoft, you can find many resources on AI using Microsoft technology in that “virtual school”.

With the same bases, we can also start with Internet Of Things concepts and tutorials using Microsoft’s IoT School . It’s 100% dedicated for programmers, and if you know Python, Javascript, C#, C or NodeJs, is an amazing entry point to start learning.

Note: Check my post about AI School And you see because I like this approach.

API boom

Buenas!

#AI – #AISchool, Free OnLine Training for Artificial Intelligence

Hi!

One of the questions that I always ask in AI talks is how to start learning AI? Here the answer is not an easy one. There are online resources such as EDx or Coursera which offer very complete courses, lasting several weeks. At some point I will probably share my experience about this platforms.

Another option is Artificial Intelligence School, that I particularly like more for several reasons

  • It is focused for programmers, I mean developers who create Apps. There are theoretical contents, however, in my experience, the tutorials and practical examples stand out.
  • It has a 100% solution-oriented approach. That is, if you want to add OCR capabilities to an App, you have a 12-hour Learning Path on how to build a DNN model to do this. To compensate, you also have a 2-hour Learning Path that shows how to perform OCR using Cognitive Services.
  • The contents are very varied. From how to use Natural Processing Language Apps in Azure, arriving at theoretical contents oriented on how to use Visual Studio Code for AI

I could name some other reasons, but I think it is best to recommend this site and share the comparison in OCR hours with DNN and OCR with Cognitive Services..

#AI – #AISchool, cursos gratuitos de Inteligencia Artificial OnLine

Buenas!

#Hololens – Non official #Training videos on how to create Hololens Apps

Hi !

Everytime someone ask me about how to start developing Hololens apps, I usually answer the same:

The best way to learn to create apps for Hololens is using the materials in Holographic Academy (link)

And that´s it, the post shluld end here. However this is the perfect time so share a couple of interesting videos I watched on Hololens Development. I need to make a point here: this are not official training videos, so you can expect camera movements, real live errors, etc. IMHO is a gret way to see what the device can do.

And, today is Friday quick posts, so the videos are in RAW mode:

Unite Europe 2016 – Real World HoloLens Mixed Reality Development with Unity Be Part of the Future

HoloLens: Building UWP 2D Apps for Microsoft HoloLens (link)
