Hello!
Today is another quick post with which I consider, are best drones that we can buy to “play at home”.
Disclaimer: I am not a specialist on this topic, just think of the devices that I could test or I have wanted to try from a point of view of use for fun + developer
Parrot Bebop 2
This new version improves many features over the previous one. The Professionals may find some issues, I however I am very happy with this one.
- 25-20 minutes of battery, good enought to have a good time
- 8GB of internal memory, here a microSD slot would be great!
- HD video up to 1920x1080p and 14MB photod (4096 x 3072)
- The new structure is quite nice and flexible blades are a great invention
- You control the drone using an app on a phone or an external controller (for this there is to spend about €uros more)
The main issue with this drone, is the lack of a Windows SDK.
Lily
Not yet for sale, in mode only pre-order. However, it has the sexiest video of all!
Mini 250 Class FPV Racing Drone
This is pure emotion. Racing drones, with first person camera view which allow us to have a very good time. Caution, you don’t have to be afraid to break it, because while the drone is very tough, it gets enough hits while you’re learning.
This drone comes with your remote control and your FPV goggles, which is just a matter of buying it and start to have fun.
Parrot Rolling Spider
We enter the “low cost” category, I mean, below €100 Euros. As his older brother, is controlled with the same app on a smartphone or tablet. The main difference is that the connection is via bluetooth and that the range is smaller. It has a lower Chamber that only takes photos and is “decent”. The 5-8 minutes of battery giving, are enough to have a good time.
Micro Drone 2.0 Speed
This also falls in the previous category, 100% to have fun. It is the cheapest, has its gating, a range of 5-8 minutes and the truth that the 720 p camera is something that can be very well used. Videos or photos are recorded in a microSD and have very good quality.
Developer Bonus: Crazyflie 2.0
Finally it is time to share a drone for C# developers. As drone is very simple, without camera or extras. However has a bookstore in .net that allows us to control the same basics using BLE: CrazyflieDotNet . When I’m arrive and have some time in Canada, I will dedicate a couple of posts to the latter to show how simple that is to work with it.
Greetings @ Madrid
