later than Friday to promote 2 excellent extensions to Team Build 2010 published these days in CodePlex: NuGetter andTfsVersioning.

The first, NuGetter is an extension for a process of Team Build 2010 to generate packages that can then be distributed with NuGet. This is something that was coming at some point, and thanks to marknic we have it available. You are are some of its features:

• It allows to work with one or more solutions and one or more configurations
• The administration of the assembled versions is performed independently (with TfsVersioning))
• It allows you to create a package and publish it in a repository of NuGet
• Allows to work in a test environment “push/deploy” utiilzando
• NuGet repositories, can be a local directory, web site or network share
• And much more

On the other hand we have to TfsVersioning, also by the same author that gives us a new solution to the eternal problem of versioning the Assembly and the compilations of Team Foundation. From what I’ve seen, is one of the most complete, while “only modifies AssemblyInfo files”, it has solved many aspects such as integration with the SC, how to work with a single seed for assembling, etc.

Also performs a very interesting thing is to define an Assembly additional attributes such as Company, Copyright, etc.

La primera, NuGetter es una extensión para un proceso de Team Build 2010 que permite generar paquetes que luego pueden ser distribuidos con NuGet. Esto es algo que estaba por llegar en algún momento, y gracias a marknic lo tenemos disponible. Estás son algunas de sus características:

• Permite trabajar con una o varias soluciones y con una o varias configuraciones
• La administración de las versiones de los ensamblados se realiza independientemente (con TfsVersioning)
• Permite crear un paquete y publicarlo en un repositorio de NuGet
• Permite trabajar en un entorno de prueba utiilzando “Push/Deploy”
• Los repositorios NuGet, pueden ser un directorio local, sitio web o recurso compartido de red
• Y mucho más

Por otra parte tenemos a TfsVersioning, también del mismo autor que nos brinda una nueva solución al eterno problema del versionado de los ensamblados y las compilaciones de Team Foundation. Por lo que he visto, es uno de los más completos, ya que si bien “solo modifica archivos AssemblyInfo”, tiene resueltos muchos aspectos como la integración con el SC, el modo de trabajo con un seed único por ensamblado, etc.

Además realiza una cosa muy interesante que es definir los atributos adicionales de un ensamblado como son Company, Copyright, etc.
