Hello!

Today I’m going on with another quick tip in Visual Studio Online aka Monaco. In this case, is about how upload files to a specific folder in a project.

Let’s see the following example. I have accessed the online editor and I have selected the “images” folder. Once inside this folder, I display the options and select “Upload files”.

I select a file, in this case a picture of Valentino and confirm the Upload. But… ohhh surprise! The image of the child has not has uploaded the images directory, it was uploaded to the root of the website.

As I don’t want to trash on my website, I remove the file.

And now after 2 minutes, I see 2 possible ways of uploading an image.

1. Context menu on the Images directory and the more consistent choice of all

2. The most natural option of all: Drag & Drop the file to the folder “images”

UploadImages

VS Online… painted well, but very well by now! And that I have not yet reached test with command-line commands, build, etc.
