Buenas,

the Surface Pro is a piece of laptop / tablet that works very well. On the one hand you have everything that is expected of a touch device and accompanies it with a Hardware specifications that help to replace to a laptop.

Note: if you are one of those who compare a Surface Pro with an iPad, then you know that you are very wrong. You have to compare it with a laptop / notebook and also add that has everything you expect from a tablet.

Sure some criticized the short duration of the battery (4 hrs) or the weight, but we must also bear in mind that level power can use Visual Studio 2012 to develop applications Windows Phone 8, the entire office package, put it in a domain with all the security policies of a company, Bitlocker, etc. We will if you ask something only they would be 2 things:

  • More RAM, 4 GBs fall short
  • More disk space, 128 GBS tend to be short

Do not have idea how get more RAM, if I have found a trick that allows me to “add more disk in God mode”.God mode is curious. On the one hand the Surface Pro has an entry for SD cards, so sums + 32 or + 64 just by connecting a card, but then if you want to set up SkyDrive use any folder of this card you are so you can not do it. The same goes if you use SD as a source code repository and from there throw Win8 applications. In short, if you need something with elevated permissions, the SD card is not the solution.

Then, as do in order to use the SD with this type of application?. Here is the steps that I follow in this case

1. This is my current context, the SurfacePro disk and a 32 GB SD

2. Now open Computer Management and within the same access Disk Management

3 Select the SD, deploy context menu and select the option “Change Drive Letter and Paths…”

4 Click “Add”, create a folder called SD32 at the root of the C: drive and select this folder.

5. Starting from this moment we have a folder in C:\SD32 that has the C: access permissions but that is located on the SD card

6. Now you can now configure SkyDrive or other apps that use C:\SD32 as the repository of files.
