Good,
as few hours is missing a to make it public I take the freedom to go to publish the news that most have impacted me for this new version.
First things first, the SDK object model interfaces do not change, however if we take into account the changes that include this can be considered a “major release” within the SDK.
Note: dear friend you have not purchased my book of ALM a change of type major release would be 1.6 to 2.0 step, what changes is where the Major Number. In this type of releases products are can afford burst interfaces, change models, etc.
We see the finest
- Kinect Interactions. An evolution of the SDK with which asked in the community, gestures, drag actions, actions of push/pull, etc. Working guidelines for environments with 2 people working, constant changes of main skeleton, etc. I repeat, what we were doing “by hand” now have in Out-Of-The-Box mode.
- Kinect Fusion, mentioned you here (ase wave k!) The Kinect cameras are watching each of the objects and keeping the position and location of the same. At that time, the Kinect is creating a 3D stage with this information.
- Examples of MatLab and OpenCV. MatLab not I’ve worked ever, to OpenCV if I know him and he is awesome. In a webcast I assembled an example of facial recognition with OpenCV and used as a source stream of the Kinect camera. The example was “good” although slow, in the SDK see optimized so amazing examples that work very well, taking advantage of the capabilities of OpenCV.
As well, now just wait until tomorrow
