Buenas,
The new Team Web Access to Team Foundation Server 2012 has really improved much. I’ve already written a couple of post about sobre the homeon the management of builds and others. But today I have a little reviewing improvements owned by TWA in the Source Control section.
Firstly, we can see that as that in many parts of TFS, now also have the Favorites, personal and computer section.
From any folder or item, you can add them to Favorites. And from that moment you will have access to them at the top left of the Viewer.
Is another of the improvements in viewing the history of a file. Now because we have the ability to configure our data and a photo in the user’s profile, as well, already we see history in a way much more user friendly.
Especially if you compare it with the current version of VS2012.
Finally we have to see the new Viewer for comparisons between versions. In this case there is no big news compared to TFS2010 version, but is still quite pleasing to the eye to be able to view the Changed minimum / Inserted / Deleted with the changes between 2 files.
If we look at the display of ChangeSets, functionality that is quite unhelpful, is the ability to perform a search by using the ChangeSet number. But one that I like is the ability to see the last ChangeSets I made, as well as the complete list of ChangeSets latest.
A changeset detail shows the left files that have been included in the same and in the section detail, comments, notes and WorkItems that are associated with the ChangeSet. In addition to the date, time and user associated with the changeset.
ShelveSets Viewer is similar to the ChangeSets, let’s look at an example that you create for the TFS Preview talk in Second Nug.
Finally comment that while us mola have the photo of the user on all sides, in the history of a file or folder, we will always see changes to the build server in a format similar to the following image.
