Hi,
the IDE of Visual Studio 11 is still a very powerful Desktop tool. While projects as Roslyn promise to remove part of workload to the IDE, the idea of a complete source code editor, I think that it is still 100% desktop. But it seems that it is not the same with the new version of Team Foundation 11. If we give a look at the options of a Team Project we will find the following image.
The interesting thing here is that almost all options of setting up a Team Project, are made from the new Web Access. 6 First Team Project 4 options are configurable via Web Access and the other with the classic editor in the IDE. In a nutshell, the edition of iterations, areas, and security is done 100% from Web Access. For example:
Project team / / Security
Project team / / Group Membership
Project team / / Source Control
Project Team / / Work item Areas
Project Team / / Work item Iterations
Project Team / / Portal Settings
