[#METRO] Metro Studio 2.0 of the friends of SyncFusion

Buenas,

Synfusion friends have released version 2.0 of Metro Studio . This application is an excellent collection / AWESOME with over 2500 icons stylish METRO Modern UI Apps. The application is free like the .net Framework source code, and you can download it from http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/metrostudio. Once you sign up, they send you a download link and a key to unlock and you can now install the application.

Once inside the application, we can navigate the icons by categories, or if we do a search to see the results in this format

Then, it is possible to create collections of icons, export them, etc. The Edition is perhaps the best part, we can define the size, the padding, the margentes, the Fund and then export the icon to PNG

But the best thing is that we have the XAML of each icon PATH!

Buenas,

los amigos de Synfusion han lanzado la versión 2.0 de Metro Studio. Esta aplicación es una colección EXCELENTE / AWESOME con más de 2500 íconos con estilo METRO Modern UI Apps. La aplicación es gratis como el código fuente del .Net Framework, y la puedes descargar desde http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/metrostudio. Una vez que te registras, te envían un link de descarga y una clave de desbloqueo y ya puedes instalar la aplicación.

Una vez dentro de la aplicación, podemos navegar los íconos por categorías, o si realizamos una búsqueda ver el resultado en este formato

Luego, es posible crear colecciones de íconos, exportarlas, etc. La edición es tal vez la mejor parte, podemos definir el tamaño, el padding, los márgentes, el fondo, etc. y luego exportar el ícono a PNG

Aunque lo mejor es que tenemos el PATH de XAML de cada ícono !!!

[#WINDOWS] Windows Embedded 8 released (will be everywhere!)

a little while ago Jose Bonnin (@wasat) dropped the news on twitter > > Windows 8 Embedded is here. If like me you questions, would have to do an OS embedded with an ALM MVP? It is surely you don’t know the other part that I like the technology that is allowing us to play with gadgets. The first thing Windows 8 Embedded is a “tuned” Windows, this means that even though you can run into a wrist watch, you still have the features and capabilities that we know Windows.

There are 3 versions that they are free of Windows 8 Embedded: Standard, Pro, and Industry.3 Have a different target, although the main difference is that

For example, the 3 versions support common capabilities such as:

  • Multi Touch
  • Internet Explorer 10
  • Windows Media Player
  • USB 3.0
  • WI-FI
  • Anti Malware
  • VPN Client (essential!)
  • Domain policies
  • Remote access (Remote Desktop)
  • etc

This makes us think that in devices that we see on the street as ATMs, kiosks, information, etc. will have all these features as a Windows desktop.

As my touches me personally dealing with these issues, because I sign up I start to distribute the ISOs of test devices x 86 and X 64 somewhat strange, and if you want more information then the Overview is very well and also the comparison between different versions .

Finally a picture of a production line where we see how cars are assembled, and the KUKA arms that move all… are controlled with Windows Embedded and a couple of Windows Server for central management and control.

hace un rato Jose Bonnin (@wasat) soltó la news en twitter >> Windows 8 Embedded está aquí. Si como yo te preguntas, ¿qué tiene que ver un SO embedded con un MVP de ALM? es que seguramente no conoces la otra parte que me gusta de la tecnología que es la que nos permite jugar con gadgets. Primero lo primero Windows 8 Embedded es un Windows “tuneado”, esto significa que si bien puede ejecutarse dentro de un reloj de pulsera, sigue teniendo las features y capacidades que conocemos de Windows.

Como a mi personalmente me toca lidiar con estos temas, pues me apunto comenzar a distribuir las ISOs de prueba en dispositivos x86 y X64 un tanto extraño, y si lo que quieres es más información pues el Overview está muy bien y también la comparación entre las diferentes versiones.

Por ultimo una imagen de una línea de producción donde vemos como se montan coches, y los brazos KUKA que mueven todo … están controlados con Windows Embedded y un par de Windows Server para el control y gestión central.

[#WINDOWS8] HowTo: Disable Smart Screen

Maybe if I work with UAC disabled. I think UAC is a great feature, however I trust my own judgment as user to not release harmful applications that you do “strange things”. Another thing I always do is to disable the Smart Screen Protection.

This new feature from Windows 8 notifies the user that it is by running a software not recognized, usually downloaded from the internet. While you can spend it with 2 clicks, how to disable this validation is as follows:

1. Open Action Center. Windows key + Q, write “action center” and open the application.

2. In the menu on the left select “Change Windows Smart Screen Settings”.

3. Select the 3rd option “Don’t do anything…” and press OK

[#WINDOWS8] HowTo: Deshabilitar Smart Screen

Pues si, yo trabajo con UAC deshabilitado. Creo que UAC es una feature excelente, sin embargo confío en mi propio criterio como usuario para no lanzar aplicaciones nocivas que hagas “cosas raras”. Otra de las cosas que hago siempre es deshabilitar el Smart Screen Protection.

Esta new feature de Windows 8 avisa al usuario que se está por ejecutar un software no reconocido, usualmente descargado desde internet. Si bien lo puedes pasar con 2 clicks, la forma de deshabilitar esta validación es la siguiente:

1. Abrir Action Center. Tecla Windows + Q, escribir “action center” y abrir la aplicación.

2. En el menú de la izquierda seleccionar “Change Windows Smart Screen Settings”.

3. Seleccionar la 3ra opción “Don’t do anything …” y presionar OK

[#WINDOWS8] HowTo: Access to the System Recovery Page using the keyboard

Buenas,

2 days ago I was helping a fellow of Avanade Barcelona to laying out one of the nearly 40 Surface Pro that we had there. To update the versions of each Surface factory, we had to reset them with the image that comes Out-Of-The-Box. We on a pc do this with some combination of keys in the boot of the same, then this (blue) screen select Troubleshot, Reset, etc.

However, I learned a trick with the Surface of Windows 8 which is quite interesting.

To achieve that a Windows 8 restart the System Recovery Options menu, it is necessary

1 Show Charm of Windows with Win+C

2. Select the Settings option

3. Select the Power option / Restart with pressed Shift key.

The important thing is to leave the hold Shift key while the computer is restarted and voila, we already have the System Recovery Options window.

[#WINDOWS8] HowTo: Acceder al System Recovery Page utilizando el teclado

hace 2 días estuve ayudando a compañeros de Avanade Barcelona a maquetar una de las casi 40 Surface Pro que teníamos por allí. Para poder actualizar las versiones de fábrica de cada Surface teníamos que resetear las mismas con la imagen que viene Out-Of-The-Box. En un pc esto lo hacemos con alguna combinación de teclas en el boot del mismo, luego en esta pantalla (blue) seleccionamos Troubleshot, Reset, etc.

Sin embargo, con el Surface aprendí un truco de Windows 8 que es bastante interesante.

Para lograr que un Windows 8 se reinicie con el menú System Recovery Options, es necesario

1. Mostrar Charm de Windows con Win+C

2. Seleccionar la opción Settings

3. Seleccionar la opción Power / Restart con la tecla Shift presionada.

Lo importante es dejar la tecla Shift presionada mientras se reinicia el equipo y listo, ya tendremos la ventana de System Recovery Options.

If you want them painful to the eyes or have any enemy that want the worst, the only thing you have to do is recommend to install the last application which have released the ALM Rangers fromhttp://apps.microsoft.com/windows/es-ES/app/alm-readiness-treasure-map/98782e69-ba79-4ab9-890a-44139fa8cd7f

See guidelines, applications, and other things that make are OK, but this application has trapping me day… just a few glasses of wine or beers can replace me. And eye that the content of the application is great, but… the way of presenting it is… speechless.

Luckily it is possible to download the Source Code and well, perhaps someone mercy on it and tweak it a little.

Si quieres que te duelan los ojos o tienes algún enemigo al que le desees lo peor, lo único que tienes que hacer es recomendarle que se instale la última aplicación que han liberado los ALM Rangers desde http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/es-ES/app/alm-readiness-treasure-map/98782e69-ba79-4ab9-890a-44139fa8cd7f

Mira que las guías, aplicaciones, y otras cosillas que hacen están bien, pero esta aplicación me ha reventado el día … solo unas cuantas copas de vino o cervecitas podrán reponerme. Y ojo que el contenido de la aplicación es genial, pero … la forma de presentarla es … sin palabras.

Por suerte es posible descargarse el Source Code y bueno, tal vez alguien se apiade y la retoque un poco.
